Before you start;
If you haven’t already, download the Digital Stable App for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Create your free account and add your horses to the app.
Register for the Royal Winter Fair 2025 through the Show Management System (SMS) to purchase your ticket(s) and complete your entry.
Once You’ve Ordered Your Ticket via SMS
Step One
After completing your ticket purchase and entry through the SMS website, you’ll receive an email directly from SMS. This email will include a link to order your Equine Register Health Pass.
Step Two
Click the link in the email. The Digital Stable app will open automatically, showing you how many horses you’ve entered into the Royal and how many now require a Digital Stable Health Pass.
Step Three
Tap “X Horses Require Health Passes for Events” to begin.
You’ll need to complete this process for each horse individually - start with the horse you want to apply for first.
Step Four
The app will automatically attempt to match your horse based on the names of the horses already registered in your Digital Stable account.
If the match isn’t correct, or you’d prefer to select the horse manually, click “Select Another Horse.” You’ll then see a list of all horses registered in your account.
If the horse hasn’t yet been added to your account, tap “Horse Not Listed?” to add it before creating the Health Pass.
Step Five
Once you’ve selected the horse, the app will check its vaccination status to confirm it meets the Royal’s entry requirements.
If the horse doesn’t yet meet the criteria, you’ll see a red Health Pass screen.
Tap the pass to view what information is missing and what updates are required.
Step Six
Click on the event to review the entry criteria.
Any vaccination or certificate showing a red warning icon means your horse’s records are incomplete or missing.
For example: in the screenshot shown, the horse has no vaccinations or Coggins certificate on file.
Vaccination & Testing Requirements for the Royal 2025
Equine Herpes Virus (EHV 1 & 4) Vaccination
Equine Influenza Vaccination
Negative Coggins Certificate Result
Timing requirements:
Both EHV 1 & 4 and Influenza vaccinations must be administered at least 7 days before the event (by 31 October 2025).
Both must also be administered no earlier than 6 months and 21 days before the event (after 16 April 2025).
Step Seven
For Vaccinations:
Enter the administration date(s) for both Influenza and EHV 1/4.
With a Digital Stable Plus subscription, you can upload receipts/certificates to store them in your horse’s profile.
Otherwise, you must bring original vet receipts/certificates clearly showing the vaccination dates on the day of the event.
You can upload these reciepts and store them against your horses proifile for ease by upgrading your Digital Stable account to a our Plus package. Alternatively, you will need to take vet reciepts/certificates of these vaccinations, clearly showing the date on the day of the event.
For Coggins Certificates
You’ll need to upload your Coggins certificate to your horse’s profile. You can:
Select it directly from your phone’s images, or
Upload the original PDF document from your phone.
To upload your documents from a laptop/computer, simply log in at https://stable.equineregister.ca and select "Health Pass" from the top navigation. You'll be able to add these documents from your laptop/desktop machine in the same way.
Step Eight
After entering vaccination dates and uploading the Coggins certificate:
Confirm the horse details.
Check the box confirming you’ll provide evidence of vaccinations and Coggins on the event day.
Tap “Confirm & Continue.”
Step Nine
Your Digital Stable Health Pass will be issued for the horse.
You can add it to your Apple Wallet and present it at the event.
